Well-well... so are you leaning more toward parting it out or resurrection now?

Being that it was a car from a dealership, the owner's "enfant terrible" and is likely to be somewhat *different* or *special* you may want to do some digging into what it was "issued" with before you make the final decision.

As example: The BMC dealership in the area where I come from, the owner had two sons racing C/S Mini's... their cars WON. Nationally in many years. They were hooked up with BMC's "Racing Division" and were getting a LOT of the trick stuff the Euro racing chaps didn't even have at the time! Tread softly until you've surveyed that thing well.

Just my two cents' worth.

Jedi Knight learning well indeed. What else should I be looking for that might be "odd"?
BTW - I grabbed the fan belt & she turns over by hand. Carbs move up & down freely.

Oh me, and she is a runner as well.

Follow the "Awaking a Sleeping B" guidelines on Tony's site and SEE if it RUNS!!

You know the drill /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif

No really I did not. I awoke this morning and sat down to look at the moss catalog. I went to that dash page to see where the OD button was. The switch over the left is missing so I was not sure if that was it or not. It was the light switch so I said Oh well. Until I found the "Switch washer wiper OD"
I saw the it on the car but the switch did not say anything until I looked around a the side of the steering column & bingo.

You know, it would ruin your day to find that a DPO changed the cowl.

All MGBs of that era had the column mounted switch (not the label tho), so that won't help.

Now make us proud and go crawl under it with the camera to be sure

What am I looking for under there? How does it differ?

A big bulbous mass on the butt-end of the transmission where you would normally see a long slender tailshaft.

A "badonkadonk," if you will.
