First sign of Winter in NE PA:

Hi Shawn,

The owner of the Co. I work for lives in Ft. Collins. His name is "Woody" Anderson. Would you perhaps know him?

"76" deg. in Colorado!!! What???? I was always under the impression you folks out there "Ski" almost year round! I guess I was wrong or is that the "Global Warming" in effect?

"76" deg; WOW!!

Russ

Massive, sudden snow here in NJ.

My Miata got stuck and I ended up abandoning it in a parking lot....walked home 4 miles. Walked back later to get it (in a pouring rain). We had no electricity for 12 hours.

The tractor trailer in the middle of the picture below is stuck on a local hill (on Rt. 206). I took the picture with my cell phone while I was walking home. Cars were trying to get around it (on the right) and got stuck too.
Lots of trees down (because the snow was heavy and our trees still have leaves to hold the snow). Kids in local schools were stuck in school due to the bad roads.

Yuk!

Spoke to my sister yesterday and she told me the same.

I am shooting to get the free Jeep painted this weekend, it maybe the last window.

Are all the fires out in Kali-Forrrrn-YAH?
The big fires are all out. This time of year we get lots of little ones but AFAIK none of them are out of control at the moment.

What the news doesn't tell you is that wildfires are perfectly natural here, just like snow in PA. We literally have native plants that can only reproduce after being burned, so you know fires have been a part of life here for a long time.

MAN, I'm glad I don't live where it snows!
Yeah...I get pretty tired of the snow and cold...but I also hate wildfires, mudslides, earthquakes, tsunamis, hurricanes, tornados, oppressive tropical heat....

Kodanja,

I have a "Great" suggestion for you.

Why not "Sell" your house in CT. Make a small fortune & "Buy" my house here in PA. With the profit you`ll make off of your house; You`ll be able to buy mine for "Cash" & I can move to SC & hang out with "Hap" & the all the "Brit Car Crazy" people down there.

What do you think?

Russ,

I have met him and I have seen the car. I wouldn't say I "know" him though. He isn't in the local club and I rarely see the car being driven.

Forecast high of 77 today. Clear and sunny with temps in the 70's through the weekend and into next week. I won't brag about our mild winters again along the front range. Bad things happened the last time I did that. The mountains still get a lot of snow though and we do have a LOT of mountains.
