First road trip of the new year

The Triad branch of the AHCA is meeting in Raleigh, NC on Saturday for a lunch set up by EdK. It is a five hour ride for those of us in eastern NC to get to the normal Triad meeting in the Winston-Salem/Greensboro area which is the closest club branch so Ed is sponsoring this lunch to give those of us in my area a chance to attend a meeting. The weather is going to be great. I will leave tomorrow with the temp hitting mid 70s by noon and Saturday, for the trip back, the temperature will be in the high 60s. Just right for the first trip of the year.
Of course, for someone in our area, the temp will be even better. Steve Byers, who lives close by, is in Hawaii. The best part of his going there is that the trip is business and is paid for. Some people are just in the right place at the right time. Maybe he is looking for more BJ8s to put in his registry.
I hope everyone gets good warm weather soon so more of us can be enjoying our cars on the road.

I had one of those trips. Paid for by the US Navy. Then they insisted that I go to sea for 6 months. Again and again.
