Well I registered last year and have checked in from time to time, but have never taken the time to introduce myself to the forum. I own a 1967 MGB. I am the third and eighth owner of this LBC.
Long story short: It was my first car, I sold it, I lost track of it (17 years), I found it and bought it back (2 years ago).
I Live in Pueblo Colorado with My wife and two sons (ages 9 & 14). I spend spare time and money working on my old friend. I can’t afford to much of either, since I am a family man first. I have been blessed with two close friends that have caught the LBC craze. We try to hit rallies, vintage races and car shows together. Both of my sons love to go and participate. I do all of my own work with lots of input from my friends.

WHAT I'VE DONE:
Rebuilt 3 sync trany. & replaced clutch.
Installed gear reduction starter.
Rebuilt front suspension.
New rear springs & shocks.
Valve job.
Replaced SU carbs with Weber 32/36 dgv.
Installed elec. cooling fan.
Many misc. small items.

NEXT PROJECT: rebuild original SU carbs. and re-install.

I am always looking for more British car nuts in southern Colorado.

Bout time ya got around to doing your intro? Just kidding – truth be told – I think it took me about 7 or 8 months before I got around to it myself.

Anyway let me be one of the first to say – Welcome aboard! While I currently live in Southern California (9 years now) I still firmly consider Colorado my home.

If you’ve been lurking in the background you already know that we have a diverse group and all kinds of pearls of wisdom to share. Don’t be such a stranger in the future. I look forward to your inputs.

Welcome Joel:

Keep bringing your kids to Brit car events....we need to get the next generation involved!
You are a lucky fellow, to be reunited with a long-lost car....there are lots of us here who wish we could find one of our former cars (in my case, it's an MGA).
And for a busy family guy, you've tackled some big jobs....a front-end and transmision rebuild are nothing to sniff at!
Welcome!... and hope to see some pictures of your car in "Member's Rides".

Welcome!
I have kids about the same age as yours (11 and 15). They love to help me with my '73 B restoration project. Not only do we get to spend time together, but they are learning a lot about cars (me too).
LBC's enrich our lives in so many ways.

Welcome , we were out in Colorado in august. Beautiful place.
I bought my MGB when my youngest son was 2 months old. He is now 22 and has never known me to drive anything else as a second car. He will inherit it when I pass on.
When he was 2, he used to stand up at the steering wheel and say Vroooom Vroooom and pretend he was shifting the gears.

Thanks for all of the responses and nice comments. Yes, I am quite lucky to have boys who are interested. Brian (9) will ride with me anytime, anywhere, and in any conditions. Eventhough, I think he has slept more than he has been awake. Jason (14) is my new TSD-Rally and tour co-pilot. He does a great job and has a sharp eye & mind. He is starting to really show interest in the mechanical side also.

I am impressed by all of the technical expertise contributors have been providing to this forum, and I hope to benefit in the future.

Joel,

Hook up with my brother who goes by 63&66MG on this forum. He is in the process of restoring two MGBs he bought in Pueblo. He lives up north of you in Elizabeth.

PS I was born in Pueblo.

Yes, you are correct I get itchy if my LBC is out of service to long. Most major projects have been done over the past two winters. I am lucky enough to have a 2 car heated garage.
HELP, I must be a bone-head. Bighly gave me a users name, but I can't figure out how to send him a message. I have been able to send messages to users that are loged on or have posted comments by clicking on their name. I don't know how to send a message or an email to a member if I do know their user name.

I just got home from a 200 mile run to Cuchara CO and back with my wife to look at fall aspen colors.

The B ran great.

Joel welcome to the board, I take it from your message that yours is a running restoration.

Best kind in some ways, means you can remind yourself why you bought the darn thing and see the progress as things are done.
