FIRST palindrome ever spoken....

This was the very first palindrome ever spoken:

<span style="font-style: italic">'Madam, I'm Adam'</span>

I realize English has no great hard fast rules, but shouldn't words like "Palindrome" actually be something like "Emordrome"?

Having never heard of the word "emordrome" I looked up its definition:
<span style="font-style: italic">A word that is the same both backwards and forwards. This is an improved version of the word palindrome, because unlike palindrome, "emordrome" is itself an emordrome.</span>
Thanks for enlightening me to a new word!

That's actually too funny, not being a English major, I was just trying to be a clever Donkey there.

Shouldn't this be updated to mean any statement uttered by a Vice-Presidential Silver Medalist?

Such as "I can see Russia from my house!"??!

It would be even more funny had a candidate actually said that

I really wish people would keep the political jabs out of here. Seriously.

whooda thunk a simple post about a palindrome would end up political? If only I knew, I would not have posted it.

Just want to keep it from going that direction, that's all.

And my intentions weren't political...just trying to be topical...connecting to someone who's name happens to be in the word and has been (mis)quoted as saying some humorous things.....
