That's me buggered then!
Good job Jack - It's still top of my list this year, if I can get me 5-speed in in time....if not, trailer!

OK I just committed and made my reservations a few minutes ago. As of this morning there are only 20 rooms left available at the Inn @ Grand Glaize for 26th, 27th, & 28th.

Only Double Rooms left, Rate $84+ Tax $92.80 per night.

C'mon Ray, lets not be pretentious (like a lot of those car shows). We should call it like it is. /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/wink.gif

If I make the show, I'll try to bring my '58 for that category.

Jack - for as many cars as you exspect, that's a mighty thin group of trophies!! I'd think you'd almost have enough cars coming to give trophies for each series of car (MkI, MkII, MkIII, 1500) , not just SWA & RWA!!

You may be right Tony, but (as someone that is unlikely to win a trophy) I'd rather save money on trophies and have a nice Dash Plaque for everyone.

Our local car show does a class winner, and then multiple "awards of excellence" depending on the size of the class.

I'm just thinking out loud....300 cars, 5 1st place trophies for original & 5 for modified...so 300 cars, 30 trophies...slim pickings!

You're correct Tony. Our car show has about 250 cars and I think we usually have about 80 trophies.

I hear ya.

As for the "junkiest" award-- I always thought that was supposed to be called "Toad of the road" (obviously this is far,far more politically correct, which is always important!)
Bill

hmmm...

Now I'm tempted again.
Google Maps say it's 2003 miles from my house.

And... junkiest sprite must be a licensed/registered/insured car. (Just to keep the playing field level)

And what constitutes "modified"? Because I have an aftermarket steering wheel, am I "modified"? Because I'm adding an anti-sway bar to a car that didn't have one, am I "modified"?

That's gonna be a hard one to quantify, Jack....you guys are gonna need to sleep on that one....

hehehehe...oh no, Jack, we're not going to let you hijack the thread that easily....
