TR5/TR250 First bath!

Bought the 250 home today to clean up. It was covered in dust from being in the shop. Its basicly finished. There are few minor things to still be done. Still debating whether or not to have strip installed on hood. Maybe I should do a poll on that. Nah! Pretty happy with it as is!

Marvin, think of how many they could have sold if they looked like that. What a great job!
The strip always make them look shorter.

Wayne

She's a beauty! No stripe on mine....I'm on the fence!

Cheers

You've done another nice one. Stripe always looked more Camaro than TR to me.

Really beautiful Marv! I'm torn on stripe/no-stripe though. Love the body style obviously and it certainly doesn't need it but then again it is a TR250.

Beautiful Marv. Really looks great. Post more pics - would love to see them.

That's getting me excited to start the resto on my driveway ornament 250.

Oh, and I vote for stripe! It's a 250. What's a zebra without its stripes? (a mule??)

Really nice looking 250 Marvin. Had a chance to buy one years ago and didn't, big mistake. I like the strip, sets it off from the 4A.

Beautiful car Marv.

I never liked the stripe either and could not figure out way until Wayne mentioned that it makes the car look shorter.

I just finished a 7 year restoration on my 1962 TR4 on Memorial Day when I installed the top and am glad I did not need to make your decision.

I need to update the pictures since I completed it, but visit my personal website at: www.jakegingervila.wix.com/bobs-vintage-cars-

Looks great. I love the color. I vote no stripe. It just looks sleeker without it.

Great looking car, I would put the stripe across the hood, very unique.

You ought to have somebody do the stripe in "vinyl wrap" for you. That way you can see it on, and peel it off if you don't like it, or want to paint it on for good.

Love the Valencia blue and that interior. Wish I painted mine that color. It looks great at that angle with out the stripe. But if you want it in the period it needs to go on. However it's your car and you'll stripe it if you want to!
