All she remembers today though is that she ran into Paul Newman, literally, POW

From what I hear.....

It was hard to NOT run into Paul Newman.

That guy, apparently, was an extremely aggressive racer.

(I know 2 people who gave me first hand accounts....They used bad words though)

'76 I think. My images, I hold copyright. /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/wink.gif

I think you are right about '76, Doc. I think the massive air-box on the JPS Lotus was much smaller and more aerodynamic in '77!!

I've a shot of that (later) one here *someplace* too...

...just gotta find the right box first. /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/wink.gif

Doc, sorry about the mixup, I removed the pics cuz of the copyright notice, not knowing that YOU were the copyright holder. My bad /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/blush.gif

BAH!! I have no problem! Your concern is genuine, I didn't put enough info in the post. You're good... MY bad. /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/laugh.gif

These are my snaps from the '77 race (quality not too good, all I had at the time was a "throw-away" Kodak camera!)
Note the air intake on the Lotus!
