What is spare parts supply like in the US? Over here I am lucky enough to live 10 minutes drive from Rimmerbros so I could just walk in when I needed a part. I'd imagine I can mail order most parts from within the US, right?

Yes, mail order is king over here. Moss, The Roadster Factory, Victoria British are known as the "big 3", but other vendors are out there, particularly for specialized bits. If you are contemplating a PI setup, however, start stockpiling what you need now from your UK sources.
