So tonight I took inspiration from an old Peter Egan column called "Garage Ikebana" and gathered a favorite beverage and snack and headed out to the garage.
I'm in that period of a restoration where the work list is long and seems endless. So many things need to be done that it's hard to get motivated to find a place to start. So I pulled my wife's truck out of the garage and arranged my little mini collection so I could sit and see the Bugeye, Triumph, and Honda.
I sat there for almost 2 hours enjoying the view, listening to the radio, and contemplating things mechanical (much to the amusement of my wife, who took the second photo). A couple of observations:
1. The rear of a Bugeye may be one of the nicest, cleanest designs ever.
2. A black and white collection highlights the few bits of color on car or bike.
3. By 1966 Honda had achieved more with a 176 pound, 8hp bike than most current bike or car manufacturers could ever hope for.
4. An entire bottle of Chimay is definitely something for a night where you're not leaving the house.
5. If I was forced by some agency to only ever own these three vehicles, I would be content. If I had to pick just one, any of the three would do.
