Find a car or sell this motor?

Yesterday, I found a motor (barn find) that was removed from a 1955 Austin Healy 100-4. It is in perfect shape and turns freely. Transmission is attached as well.
I began researching this car last nt, and wow! What a cool car. Was wondering how available these cars are for a possible new project, or how much the engine is worth. I definitely dont wanna leave it setting any longer. Thanks for the advice. Mark

Not sure, but I would think that selling it might bring your greatest reward. You might find a 100-4 that someone had swapped the motor out to a different motor, then try and return it to stock. Sounds like a lot work, but could be rewarding if you have the time and money.

Hope this is okay to say. If you wanted to you could donate it to Drive Away Cancer as Grace is a 100-4. You might want to google Drive Away Cancer or check it out on FaceBook. Your donation would be tax deductible. Just a thought.

Nice thought. I donated an older car that wasn't running here in Houston a few years ago. They wanted the car, I wanted the space, we both got what we wanted. Leaving for Santa Fe soon.

If you really want a Healey 100 then do not sell this. There frequently are 100's for sale that had a V8 swap done or were prepped for that. They are not worth all that much because they do not have the original engine and they are extremely hard to find. Conversely, if you do choose to sell it you may be surprised at how much it would bring.
