Why not just sell the Midget & buy a BMW? Don't mean to offend, just wondering?

freedom of choice I guess. why not buy an RX-7 when people put a rotary engine in an LBC? why not just buy an old chevy? why even do something unique? its my vision to do something different. I want a fun little car to drive around, and not to burn bridges but I don't envy those who work tirelessly on keeping their cars original, if only to get a few miles on the odometer a month. these cars were made to drive, and I think that there are a few of you here that may be pleased with the results I just hope that there are some of you as excited about it as I am. I thought that this was what this forum was for.

Oh, once you start down the path of no return... you'll have all sorts of interest and support. We just want to make sure you understand that these cars are fun (and reliable) in stock form. Most people here drive their spridgets on a regular basis (and race). There are very few that are exclusive show cars. The spridget people are some of the most helpful and accepting of the car groups I've been involved with. Keep us posted.

Absolutely agree /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/iagree.gif Heck, I'm the guy who put a Camero 3.4 V6 in my SCCA MGB GT...& a Rover 4.0 V8 in my daily driver MGB

its just that you're making a conscious decidion that can never be changed once you start cutting & welding

Good luck & keep us posted...I'm trying to decide how to repower an old MGC coupe!
