Finally going to the Lewes DE show

Country flag
Offline
For the last 4 years I have consistantly registered for the car show (The British Are Coming - Again) in Lewes, DE. Every year something has happened at the last minute to prevent me from going. Tomorrow morning at 10 AM our 100-6, a Sprite, and an XKE are leaving for the show - we should be over the Chesapeake Bay Bridge by 11, and on our way! Fingers crossed, it's 6:30 PM Thursday and we're still going in the morning!! :driving:

G'luck!

I'll be going to the MG Car Club Britfest here in Morris County, NJ on Saturday.

It's an easy one for me....about a mile from my house.

See ya next year! It is 1:30 and we made it here. About three hours.

Thanks Dale.
I'll bookmark it for those needed hours.
Don't tell SHMBO

What a great show Lewes turned out to be. There were only about 100 cars, but the setting was awesome. It is held inside a historical compound of homes, totally shaded by trees. All of the historical buildings were open for visiting, and the cars were places all around them. It sits right in the middle of Lewes, an easy walk to the shops and restaurants for lunch, etc. Had a great time, going back next year!

pictures?

Dale,

Stuck in the Tricities?
I remember when the highway went through all of the tri cities.
Although Highway 1 (& 301) in Deleware was one of the most
depressing trips that I've taken - & I've been through Wyoming!

Larry- glad you enjoyed Lewes as much as we do. Maybe we'll be able to join you next year.

Doug- We almost got stuck on WA14 coming in towards Portland...had 9 miles left in the tank when we finally got to a bridge over to stations on the OR side. Too close for my comfort. The Tri highway arrangement is both confusing and badly marked, IMHO.

Have to be wearing sandals to cipher the signs

We actually do have pictures. I'll try to get them posted by tomorrow morning!
