Milestone day - front end is fully stripped. Got the driver's a-arm, lever shock and steering rack removed today. Time to move on to the rear of the car.

Thanks! My shop is an old barn, so we 'borrowed' about 3 feet of floor space up above. I can raise the lift to full height and walk under without bending down (I'm 5'-11"). Not completely done yet, I want to drywall the raised section to give it a more 'finished' look.

Being able to walk under the lift without banging one's head is a big plus. Our detached garage was built to store an RV on one side - 14' high ceiling. So I was able to buy a lift that I could walk under. I'm 6' 9", if I'm not slouching.
6'9" is mighty tall for a Bugeye!

Yup, knees firmly planted in the dash on the passenger side. Same problem with Austin-Healey 100 and BJ8 convertible. I sat in a BMW Isetta once; thankfully it had a sun roof.

It's been a few weeks, but the car is now fully stripped of all ancillaries. Easily the worst part was those darn rear leaf springs.
I have an appointment on Friday to get an estimate for paint/body work but I'll have to wait for a while before I can move ahead with that phase.
