Finally Dry Tools!

Well, I finally broke down and paid the $$$ for a dry & secure roll-up type bed cover. It's a PE (Pace Edwards) “Roll-Top-Cover” and came with a weather strip for the tailgate.

While not really 100% water or criminal proof, it is a significant improvement over having nothing at all to protect my stuff from the elements & prying eyes. Water for the most part is re-directed out of the bed via two drain hoses and the cover is lockable. I also like not having to unload all of my tools & test equipment each night for safe keeping in my garage or my hotel room.

Here are a couple of pictures.

I got it on line after doing some research Picted this one over several others. Installation was easy (only had to drill four holes - with the rest secured to the bed with pretty trick hardware. I can still use my bed extender but I can't just flip it out and actually have to remove it flip it manually and reconnected it. But that's the only drawback. Besides all that I think it looks pretty sharp too! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbsup.gif

Cheers,
Bret
