Hi All,
My six year Bugeye restoration is finally back on it's own four wheels! I've been working on the axle housing exclusively since november so that I could get the car down off the dolly and ready to take to the painter's. I don't think the axle housing had been touched in 55 years and required literally everything to be replaced or refurbished. Everything was disassembled, beadblasted, powdercoated where applicable, seals changed (pinion, differential, hubs), wheel cylinders rebuilt, brake lines changed, bushings in leaf springs and radius arms changed, and every nut, bolt, and washer replaced. What a mess! Anyway I was just excited about the long overdue accomplishment and wanted to write about it.
regards
Mark
