my 57 body tub is now resting unbolted to the frame. Floors rest on the rubber strips. I know the doors are next and I'm not quite ready for them so I'm going after the dash and wiring next. Question: can I pull the cross bracing that I bolted to the tub for removal six years ago? It would sure make life alot easier working in the cockpit. I'll make the door adjustments as I shim and eventually bolt to the frame. That's my plan.

I would bolt the body to the frame and even if the doors are paint ready for installation, I would put then on and check the fit with the latches. That way there will be fewer surprises when it is time to actually bolt the doors on. This stage is THE MOST critical for fit and the gap check.
After the doors check out with the frame bolted, it is OK to remove the door temp. door braces. Don't just listen to me as I'm a BE guy! Good Luck
