Finally, a really good use for a drone...

Takes about 25 seconds to fully get beyond the introduction (but it's nice too).

Ah..... Andrea Bocelli

I'm a bit skeptical that it is the real deal, especially on the up close shots. The drone would be doing the equivalent of flying through flak, as the fireworks would explode, the air would be disturbed, like a rock being dropped into a pond. Even with a gyro-stabilized camera, the drone should be bouncing around considerably more if it was that close.

I do like the Bocelli soundtrack. I do a piano version of the song sometimes as "filler" music, and inevitably, at least one person will come up and ask what song it is. I think most people recognize it from the dancing waters at the Bellagio in Las Vegas.

I recall a few years ago flying into Orlando, just as the fireworks were going off at the Magic Kingdom - it was pretty wonderful to view from that angle

Great film, I think it is amazing his drone wasn't shot down.

I believe the native video was shot in Miami. I wondered if it was real too, but figured it was when the camera would pan around; that was amazing. Still, there certainly had to be a lot of flak (though only cardboard and burning powder).

If the lens was zoomed maybe it wasn't really that close. Who knows, but it doesn't really matter, it's a great take on a subject matter that has been beaten to death.
