Stag Final stage in the restoration of my TR4A

Kent,

The car mounted on the chassis without engine & gearbor has arrived in the workshop for body work by June 2007. Finishes by May 2008. They handled around 10 to 15 cars at a time but just one classic.
So the same shop took out the body panels and put it back. They got the car with doors, trunk and bonnet in place and they put it back after painting. Body removal and mounting it back to the chassis was also done by them. In the meanwhile I took the complete chassis out of the shop, I disassembly it at my place (with the help of a mechanic) and send it back (naked chassis) for preparation and painting. Took it again, put all mechanics back (now including engine and gearbox) and sent the rolling chassis back to the shop.
In terms of the body metal sheet they did everything, removing the old paint and rust, painting with wash primer, primer and final painting.
By the time I will finish the upholstry and put the bumpers, grille and headlamps back, I will send the car again for the final polishment.
Reinaldo
