Stag Final stage in the restoration of my TR4A

That is one great looking car!

that looks great. i can't imagine the all the work you have done. i will show these to my wife, she thinks i am busy just tinkering with mine to keep it running. i see it on the street, are you driving?

Looking perfect and ready to enjoy. The fun doesn't end when you finish the restoration, it's just a different kind of fun now.

That's some very good looking work that you've done...very professional. Keep us posted with some more pics, and welcome aboard. :thirsty:

Welcome and congratulations on a beautiful job. Well done!!

Beautiful only begins the description.

Sail,

Nice to know you also have a TR4A 66!
It has been a lot of work. Took 2 years so far but most have been done by specialists. I did all desmantling (except engine&gearbox) and some parts preparation & painting. I also have selected all suppliers, vendors and parts spec.
It was a wonderfull learning experience and took me 8 years to have enough courage, money and time to start this undertake.
Yes I kept driving the car avery weekend and now I am anxious to drive it again.

Thanks,

Reinaldo

Hi tdskip,

Thanks for the welcome! In fact this is my first participation in this forum but I have already posted a couple of messages on the classifieds (buying a few parts I was in need).
Yes I am lucky enough to have a solid car now with a carefull restoration.
Thanks,

Reinaldo

Fantastic. That really is terrific.

Now, give us some information. Tell us the extent of the body work, what they had to do, and all that. Did the shops take forever to get around to doing the body work? Who reinstalled the body panels?

Very nice, Reinaldo - felicidades!

But that Karmann Ghia in one of your pictures really caught my eye. Great use of the new headlight treatment!

Mickey

Art,

Thanks, I certainly will be around with pictures for the remaining steps of the restoration.

Reinaldo

Thanks Mickey! Looks like you have some Portuguese language background. The Karmann Ghia was in the same shop and the owner have also done a complete body work.
