That was quite moving. It appears that he was treated with the highest honors by the British, as he rightly deserved. Was he buried in England or returned to the US? If it said, I missed it. PJ
A very fitting way to go. Glad he got to make the pilgrimage. My dad took me (when I was 15) to the beach in southern France where he came up. He was reliving it at that moment; I was too immature to appreciate then.... I do now.
Very touching. Made my vision go a little blurry. Thanks for posting. A correction at the end said he served on another B-17, not the Memphis Belle. Still just as important.
