filters inside of BJ air cleaner?

Thats interesting TH.. maybe just take a clean sock and wrap around the air filters, then when you arrive take them off and wear them.... I like it!!

Just kidding of course, no mean ness implied..

Once had to cover the air cleaners on a BJ8 to drive through some ash from Mt. St. Hellens. Wish I had K&N filter instead.

Lots of misunderstanding out there about filters and air horns or velocity stacks.

Read what David Visard has written. He has shown that a properly sized K&N fitted with a properly designed "stub-stack" inside will outperform anything else.

C Ya,
Mark

Good topic...
i've pulled the filters off and they look like they will do a good job at keeping the pebbles out of the engine

Is there a little more science to it or, is what you see is what you get ?

What you see is what you get. Clean then re- oil the the steel wool and you are good to go.
