Field find!

A guy I work with is a die hard AMC guy, and spends his weekends hunting down barnyard finds. I asked him to look out for anything small and British for me, last week he missed out on a Spit by 5 minutes for $150 at an estate sale. Today he comes up and tells me "I found some Trihumps in an old shop that's been closed down for 20 years. The old man died and his son is selling every car there, over 50 of them, $100 cash money each. I saw a Spitfire fastback, and a few other British cars, one looked like it was aluminum since the rust was white. I'm a goin' down again this weekend to get a couple of Hornets, you want pictures?" I wonder what the alloy car is? I'll post photos as soon as I get them.

I just resently posted about a Spitfire I found in a old garage that had been sitting for 20 years. I think half the fun of old cars is searching out the forgotten ones. I'd be interested in seeing some pictures. Good luck and keep us informed.

These are the kind of deals that get me in trouble with the wife. It's like homeless puppies, I can't walk away without bringing one, or a few, home with me.

He went yesterday, I'll see him in the morning. I'm crossing my fingers for a Healy. Yesterday we were cleaning up a section of the river near my house with the Scouts. We went to an old farm to meet, as we are pulling out, I look over in his neighbors barn, there is two TR4's, one white and one red. I'll go check on those today!

So what happened with the 50 cars?
