MGC Fiberglass MGC Hood

I'm using his graft-on flares so I can control the amount of flare...I already have fiberglass front fenders...I just don't want the full flare treatment & he's said he'll show me how to reduce it by how I install his flares...so far, his instructions are pretty good...i know the ones he gave me for installing the rear valance so the seams show are good.

why don't you write all this down or put it on your website so I can have the benefit of it too

I will...I've been concentrating on getting the body ready..&, as each fiberglass piece is finished I'm incorporating it into the final plan - time for a V8 project update.....tomorrow!

Tony.
Hey!! That is looking good. That's from one who went the whole 9 yards on a sunbeam. What is under that hood and what other mods have you done mechanically?

Tony, Your project looks great; The choice of hood (bonnet) for your V8 is exquisit. Tell me about the front bumper treatment on the red display MG for the glass hood. Is that another of your suppliers options? Keep up the good work. Jack

Yep...though I'm going without any bumpers, that bumper conversion is their signature product....its a neat addition to a rubber bumper car.

you should also order the rear bumper treatment!

chuck...V8 project on the website is updated - just for you!

No, but the photos would only show holes being welded up, sides being smoothed with fiberglass, etc...oh, I'll make a photo of the inner fender wells where I've smoothed them down around the shock area...mine now no longer has those humps to give room for the shocks under the fenders! That'll allow freer flow of air around the RV8 headers & out the RV8 header holes!

...oh, and your hood fiberglass is being laid up...I'll pick 'em oth up week of 29 Sep....then, see you sometime in October.

looks like Oct 6 right now Tony. I'll schedule so I get there about when school lets out. I may bring Laura. Is there a Hampton Inn nearby?

Week of Oct 6 would be the week I get back so its good - yes, there's one in Huntsville &, I think, one in Madison! Do you want him to open the back of the scoop so air can exit? Or, do you want to cut the holes yourself? For me, he's cutting 4 equally spaced 3"x1" slots & backing them with mesh.

&, we talked this morning about the next piece: fiberglass trunk lid with integrated 3rd brake light!
