Would someone be kind enough to send a photo of the rear fender beading and tail light. Does the bead go all the way to the rubber under the tail light. I have mine together and just want to check.

and the year and model is a ... ?

Dont know if it is right, but here are a few shots of mine when I took it off to do my resto

1960 TR-3A. Actually according to serial number it was a 1959 but as we al know they were often titled as the year they hit the states.

Yikes, I did not realize the chrome ran up under the tail light. I thought the flat (smashed) part was down and tucked under the bottom of the fender. This put a whole new wist on it.

The round end is and should be up near the bottom of the tail light. The flat end on my 1958 TR3A when I bought it new in May 1958 was like this and a tiny round-head sheetmetal screw to secure the bottom was through the flat end up into the bottom of the fender. They must have hammered the flat end up under the bottom of the fender.

So then, completely opposite to what it is on my car then Don, and like John's photos, correct?

And mine too Tush ... just seemed like the "logical" way to do it. Guess not, but I'm not taking it apart again

Cheers, Mike

This is such a beautiful blue color. Just fantastic. Congrats on a great looking restoration.
