Seeing Olympic hopefuls on NBC... much is different about the gear. Masks & balaclava in particular. Interesting.

Been a long time since I had a foil in me mit.

Not me Doc I had foil in me mitt the other day but it was to wrap the spuds in before they went on the barbeque :laugh:

They had Baklava?! Cool! I love Baklava after a nice plate of Souvlaki and fried pita...with a little hummus, of course.

Ok... I have to steal something of Steve's; Ah, the Olympics! {YAWN!!} Think I'll go watch paint dry instead, I need entertaining.

Wake me up when the winter olympics are back :smile:
 
I mayn't have couth, but I've got a jar of Tahini, and I know how to use it:

place 1 cup dried chickpeas(garbanzo beans)in small stock pot.
Soak overnight in fresh, unsalted water.
drain the pot and rinse the beans.
Cover with water and simmer until beans are soft ( 2-4 hours).

Allow beans to cool somewhat.

Put beans, one Tablespoon of lemon juice, two cloves of garlic and one to two tablespoons of tahini in blender and puree.

Enjoy with lightly fried pita bread.

I've been wearing the Kevlar vest for some time but the balaclava is not mandatory.
