Apparently, Felipe Massa has earned a new fan...me!

I usually pick up on the class acts, but somehow the past couple of seasons, I completely missed Massa. Don't get me wrong, I'm still ecstatic that Hamilton won the championship. But it's refreshing to see a driver, that in his own words, "knows how to win and how to lose."

I too gain respect for Felipe during his debrief after the Brazilian GP race, oh and so glad Lewis won. It is nice to see a competitive F1, even Bernie Ecclestone(d)didn't screw it up that much..... Is it me or are these drivers getting younger? Sebastian Vettel he is going to be a good one! Should be a interesting 2009 even with out a US and Canadian GP, thanks Bernie.......

Hamilton = better driver. Dynamite in the wet. Well deserved champion.
Massa = better personality. His interviews are always from the heart... much unlike most other drivers nowadays (especially his teammate kimi-bot.)

I was rooting for Massa, but then I've been a fan of his since he started at Sauber.

Where is Eddie Irvine, throwing water at Mika in an interview?? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=21u_xJx8E70

Funny you had mentioned Eddie, I was wondering myself a couple of weeks ago, googled his name came up with his website, alive and kicking. Since DC (David Coulthard) has retired who is the tallest/heaviest driver? one of the Finns? The speed boys are ok but they are no Murray Walker and James Hunt, now those guys could tell some stories!

Hunt.

wow.

We attended a Brit car show a couple weekends ago and on the upper corner of one of the Mini windscreens was the li'l Hesketh bear... was amused at how many people DIDN'T know what it was.

IMHO Phillipe has always been a class act, it just took the drama of the close championship to bring it to attention! All those years of playing second fiddle to MS eclipsed his class and under-rated his skills as a driver!

:iagree:
