I just dropped my wife off. She's going to Paris for a week with her church choir and it'll be the longest we have been apart in 29 years of marriage. The thought of it feels strange. :(

On the good side though I've taken the week off too to make some progress on the Healey. :excitement:
 
I imagine you'll feel "lost" a bit, but it's also a great time for you to make some headway on the Healey. And I'm sure SWMBO will have a wonderful time.

Years ago I had a parishioner who had literally never spent a night apart from his wife from the day they were married until the day she died some 60 years later. I was always a little in awe of that - but, sort of relieved that SWMBO & I do travel individually and spend some time apart - though I must say I never sleep as well and, never get done what I thought I would - still, she is going to have an awesome experience and I hope you make great progress!
 
One of the hardest parts of serving in the military is having to be away from family, sometimes for long periods. Even when I became a civilian contractor after mil retirement I had to travel a good deal. An unfortunate reality for most military families.
