Was on the phone for over a half-hour with a representative checking on my UK shipment and he couldn't get through to their own tracking site, he tried 2 times and said they are having Internet problems and can not get anyone to answer him! Pretty sad situation. I haven't had any communications with them since January 27th. In the meantime, my shipment is somewhere in outer space! 😔 :censored1: PJ

Might be an issue with their office connection to FedEx - I just tracked a FedEx shipment and it went through ok immediately.

That has to be frustrating Paul.
Maybe a call to FedEx corporate headquarters is your next course of action ?

Well, Elliot, the problem is, their system now sends you to their customer care number whatever FedEx customs site you click on. US Fedex customs seems like a totally different organization. FedEx UK is quite different as they jump right on your request and give answers quickly. They even sent all of my paperwork to US customs and told me they should have all the information and permissions they require. We'll see!! :rolleyes2:
Oh yeah, now this storm with a lot of snow is holding up shipping even further!

GOR!

Both hands... AND a MAP!! (with apologies to Silverghost)

Sometimes you have a choice on who ships your stuff. For international, I pick DHL. They are consistent and don't charge little extra fees that Sometimes show up from Fed EX. As an example, if Fed Ex decides that you need extra info for the customs forms, they put the shipment into "storage" until they get the info. They once tried to charge me for 4 days of storage for info that was on the shipping bill of lading.

I have been to the sorting site for Fed Ex. It looks like a nightmare, When I left, I kept thinking that some of that needs to be automated.

Paul - try this:

I've used that to track FedEx (and other) international package shipments when I couldn't get through to FedEx several times.

Unfortunately I've recently heard similar complaints about FedEx on another forum. Most of the responses there implied that this has been an ongoing thing for the past six months to a year. Several others said that UPS is much better with international shipping right now, no delays and easy tracking.

High Gear offers no options for choosing a shipper! They use FedEx only for international shipping. I'm thoroughly disgusted with the whole mess!

I've been having my own problems with Fedex. Got a bill for $1,043.00 for a simple envelope to my insurance company in Illinois. Weight? 122 lbs! When I called them, they said it had been audited and the amount was correct! In desperation, I went to my local fedex office and the manager helped me obtain a complete list of my waybills. The error happened at laGuardia Airport in NYC. It was corrected on a new invoice and I got a credit of $1,005.00. Now I just got another bill showing a past due balance of $132,00. Not so. I have every waybill and all my office checks. I sent them a printout a couple of days ago with a check for what I really owed - $81.00 - that was added on to the $132.00 allegedly due. Wanna bet I get a new bill still showing that past-due $132.00? I don't know what to do.

Paul - did you try the tracking link in my post?
Yes I did Tom, but I'm going to make a few calls to Memphis Monday and see if customs got my paperwork from Fedex in the UK. They sent me two emails saying they sent the documents, I need to verify this and the best way to do that is by phone.
