Here's the deal on why I'm so excited about this. This D-Type Overdrive Transmission is the first piece to be completed for the "3 month" '65 B project I've been working on, which is now pushing three years.
I've been driving the car for nearly 20 years on a standard gearbox, much of that in daily driving. The day I flick that dash switch will literally be a dream come true, and now I'm this much closer!!!

That's exactly what I thought when I saw it. Pretty shabby. And I sent the thing in so nicely packed. Tight, wrapped well in bubble wrap, then a heavy packing blanket (which I didn't get back) and finally styrofoam panels.
On the bright side, the rebuilder was Quantum Mechanics, so I can rest assured the work was done properly and it has been fully bench tested.
