These people always seem to come up with odd things for you to "post", which I don't do as a "status", but I will answer them.
"It's National Book Week. The rules: Grab the closest book to you. go to page 56. Copy the 5th sentence as your status. Don't mention the book. Post these rules as part of your status"

So, I grabbed the nearest book to my keyboard, and responded:
"1270. Narcotic Substances: No narcotics or marijuana are allowed on ships or stations or in your possession without authorization.
The closest one to the keyboard, page 56, 5th sentence.
Not sure how that would look as my status.
Better find another book."

The absolute nearest book, on the shelf probably 26" from my keyboard, is the BJM (Blue Jacket's Manual) I got in Navy Boot Camp in 1968.

I love doing that back at 'em.

He gasped, "But, Dagny, you're a woman!"

Ok, this was the second nearest book. The actual nearest was just the Phone book!

 The few copies I have of <span style="font-style: italic">that</span> book are out of reach ATM.

Pg 56, 5th sentence of the nearest:

"They have access times, modification times, and change times, all stored within the inode."

Scott Hawkins' "Linux Desk Reference", Second Edition.

<span style="font-style: italic">To weight the writer's options, ask yourself which idea shows more regard for real experience, the initial one or the one that surfaced in the drafting process.</span>

<span style="font-style: italic"> Entonces los dejo', y se fue de la ciudad a Betania, donde paso' la noche. </span>

Well, it <span style="font-style: italic"> is </span> from the nearest book at the moment...

<span style="font-style: italic">"It's National Book Week. The rules: Grab the closest book to you. go to page 56. Copy the 5th sentence as your status. Don't mention the book. Post these rules as part of your status"</span>

Book? FaceBook users actually read real books?

Sorry, I'm at the beach and don't have any books nearby. The best I can do is the fifth line down on the Cheerios box (above).

I use Facebook mostly as a method for e-mailing groups of relatives and friends. And sometime to exchange photos with fellow racers.
Works especially well with overseas relatives; many have really adopted FB as an alternate to e-mail.

"Unfortunately it was weak, moving at only three miles per hour, needing constant refueling because of its small boiler, and upsetting on the second test."

Very strange- it sounds a LOT like me- old and weak, slow, hungry and upsetting....

From Nevins & Hill: "Ford: The Times, the Man, the Company", 1954.

None of the nearest books to me go to page 56. So here's the best I can do:

"And good night to the old lady whispering "hush"" - Goodnight Moon by Matgaret Wise Brown.

The kids didn't put their toys/books away last night.

A traffic monitoring camera, she was convinced, had swung round to follow her as she walked past it, and a secu-rity camera in Bloomingdales had seemed to make a particular point of watching her trying on hats.

Mostly Harmless, Douglas Adams - from the ereader on my ipad. (it is closest, i hope it counts.)

"The show grew in 1985, with cars being shown on Flagstaff Hill and the addition of Marque of the Year."

Therefore, if a particular Section you may require is not listed in the contents of 'Part B', refer to the contents of 'Part A' and look for the Section required, which will be marked 'All models'.
