There was a movie with John Cleese, but I can't recall the name. I think it had "Time" or "Clock" in the title. Cleese played a straight-laced, very punctual School Headmaster, who had to travel to some other town to receive some award. Somehow he gets hooked up with some young lady who needs a ride and the rest is a comic masterpiece has he trys to get to his meeting on time. Can someone remind me what that movie was?

Okay...
One movie I love is called "Brassed Off", a Welsh movie about the coal mine closures, done much better than "The Full Monty" in my opinion, although both are about the same basic thing. I'm not sure how available "Brassed Off" is...
And Michael Richards in "Unstrung Heroes", an interesting movie showcasing a quirky Kramer, er... Michael Richards, and I don't think it's very well known

-Brassed Off was great- Pete Postlethwaite (the band leader) is really outstanding in the Leo DeCaprio Romeo and Juliet remake (which is another great quirky film)...
-another great quirky brit film was "Shaun of the Dead" - plus one of the 'co-stars' of the movie is a XJ6
-Brazil
-Blade Runner
-Silent Running with Bruce Dern and the "Huey, Dewie, Lewie" robots.
-Raising Arizona
-Time Bandits and the Goonies... I'm always trying to convince my kids to watch these whenever they want me to sit with them and watch a DVD.
which reminds me...
-Thomas and the Magic Railroad.... OK... hear me out. Maybe this was because I've seen it literally hundreds of times.... but holy bejezus... I will never tire of watching Peter Fonda phone in this performance.... Yes THAT Peter Fonda... he plays this like he's on Thorazine. It is an absolute riot... you can just see in his eyes the words "The check is in the mail... the check is in the mail"... and to counterpoint his droll performance the other hit is Alec Baldwin acting like the Mad Hatter on speed. And Frenchie from Grease....Just a completely bizzare movie.
Yes Banjo - by all means Blues Brothers counts! You got my cheeze-whiz boy ????
