Favorite cooling system flush chemicals / brands?

Just had a cooling system flush done by a radiator shop, on a car that had some gooey coolant passages.

It came back clean enough to eat off of. Man, I'd love to know what they use. (yes, I asked, and no they wouldn't be specific)

So what does everyone here like to use? The strongest stuff I've used is the prestone heavy-duty 2-part system that uses caustic soda (I think?). But it never worked as well as the radiator shop's results.

I perused the forums and found references to vinegar, coca-cola, phosphoric acid......

One of my sons has a radiator and air conditioning shop. He has a machine that pumps a very hot caustic solution through the system. Because of environmental restrictions becoming more restrictive and the caustic solution becoming more expensive to reprocess, he's going to another chemical. I don't know what it is, but I understand it will be a hot flush also.

Pennsylvania probably won't allow you to have it. I started selling a large line of chemicals recently and got a no-sell list by state. PA is in the top 5 nation wide on chemical restrictions.
