Fat Feet hitting too many pedals

I picked up some 'lovely' orange/pink coloured athletic shoes some time ago for driving (and cycling) with: narrow sole; lots of mesh for cooling; stiff area under the forefoot for spreading the load out. Dunno if it would work with the Healey, but we have a VW based Meyers Manx clone dune buggy with a similar issue. I pulled the pedal set out many years ago and bent the clutch pedal further out with two pipe wrenches (I don't think I changed the alignment of the brake pedal). Try skinny shoes; try mechanical corrections. Good luck. Doug (an irritant for me is that there is a seam in the material covering the transmission hump that catches the edge of my right foot. Not enough to sweat correcting things, but a tad worrisome.)
 
that is one of the reasons that i installed an aod transmission in my converted bn6. ..one less pedal to worry about!!
 
Moss catalog shows "distance pieces"(#31) moving the clutch pedal to the left what looks like 3/8" or 1/2":
