I'm kinda surprised they call Bristol "obscure" in England! Are they KIDDING?!?!
 
With just 8,016 cars built in 60 years. That's still pretty obscure if your not a car nut. Plus, if celebrities have to settle for 'used' cars once in a while, thats qualifys as obscure too.

Exactly. If you know, you know, if not... well, that's part of it....

Used Bristols turn up on e-bay UK fairly regularly- once a month or so, mostly from the sixties, a few earlier; a few later....

After I get the Jensen Healey sorted out, and after I get the Big Healey back on the road, maybe then I'll get a Bristol project to play with.... just to keep the wife in a state, mind....
 
Bristol is a venerable mark! It warms the heart to see they have not "lost it" . One must not forget the great contribution Bristol made to the aircraft industry during WWII and after. Cars, I think, were an interesting sideline to their aero industry, much like BMW and Saab and would explain the low auto production numbers and fine quality of their cars!
 
Nice looking car - may be the best looking Bristol ever. I like the idea of topping Ferrari with a truck engine (I know, I know... but it was). I think the rear looks like certain Alfa coupes.

I know about the WW2 Bristol planes but I think this car ("Fighter") must be named after the Bristol "Fighter" of WW1.

I'd still like one... an older one that is fully depreciated, shall we say....
