So, light travels faster than light?

I'm going to use my imagination, I'll translate 'energetic packets of light' into 'matter' and think that they were transported with Scotty at the controls.

But when they reassembled at the other location, did they have fly eyes?

This kinda puts string theory back on the table...

rats. I was ~just~ gettin' comfy again.

Quanta. No mass. /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/devilgrin.gif

Dunno.

...but I know a Mexican Bar quote: "Una MASS!" /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/devilgrin.gif

Uno más, por favor

You coulda bin thar'n dun that before you bin thar'n dun that?? Whoo-ooh boy!!! Thet's summat! /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/crazyeyes.gif /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/jester.gif

I'm no physicist...but I seem to remember a guy who had perfect cold fusion a few years ago.

Pardon me if I wait a bit before I discard all of known physics.

An old limerick, I know. /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/grin.gif

There once was a young girl named Bright.
Whose speed was much faster than light.
She set out one day,
In a relative way,
And returned on the previous night.

I've always wanted to know....and this is merely hypothetical....
If you're in a car, travelling at the speed of light, what happens when you turn the headlights on? (Insert Lucas quip here)

according to my college physics professor...

"nothing"

...I think beer comes out yer nosepipes...

Just happen'd t' me.

Unfortunately yes....

Loop quantum gravity I can handle /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/thumbsup.gif

That extra dimension/hypercube stuff is mind melting. /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/crazyeyes.gif

Light sees itself?

Well I hope you won't do that because technically....

You would rip our solar system apart with the gravity wave. /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/cryin.gif
