Fastener size and type

Hi
On the MGB there are several Phillips head screws that are used to hold the heater in and also used on the cover for the brake and clutch pedal assembly.
As these seem to get rather secure over time, while removing them the heads have been somewhat reduced from optimal condition.
I think these would be good candidates for replacement with socket head cap screws.
I would like to confirm and verify there size.
They are either 2 BA or 3/16 BSF which is 32TPI. Can anyone confirm?
Has anyone used something else?
For example, https://www.britishfasteners.com/mm5/merc...tegory_Code=120

Thanks

I believe that you are correct and they are 2-BA. I have run a 10-32 tap through them and used 10-32 allen head cap screws in their place.

What Bill said. I've done the exact same thing.

As an aside, I replaced the screw that holds the ignition points in place with an allen screw. Much eaiser to service.
