TR2/3/3A Fascia capping ends.

I have made a new aluminium fascia capping that goes over the top of the dash. Not having an original item to use as a pattern, I am not sure of some detail. Could someone advise me how the capping is finished at it's ends where it mates up with the padding on top of each of the doors. The door capping has the chrome button at each end. Does the fascia capping have its ends open or blocked off. How does vinyl covering on the capping go over the ends? A photo showing the end clearly would be much appreciated.

Although I’m not at my car, I pulled this pic which confirms what I remember…. The leather is just wrapped around the edge of the capping. Certainly another owner can run out and validate this. Jim

Here is one more pic. Note that the furflex and rubber weather strip both have room to turn the corner and get tucked up underneath the capping.
