Curious...Z3 or Z4?...if Z3, S52 or S54?....got a BMW M Roadster (practical fun).
Practical = air conditioned (among other things).
Best of luck on your next life stage, we will all be there with you one day!Having owned and driven Triumphs since Nixon was in the White House... I am now without one and no longer part of the Triumph world.
My much-enjoyed TR4 that I purchased out of Maui in 2001 now has a new owner here in Tucson.
Only things not included in the sale were a hub puller and an overdrive gearbox, which I will offer separately.
For those who might be concerned: I am fine.
Car owners are like tires... eventually they either wear out or age out. For me it was the latter as I anticipate a future with less of a garage and less of what it takes to maintain a car.
Thanks to all for decades of fun and enlightenment.
Geo
A Z3 S52.Curious...Z3 or Z4?...if Z3, S52 or S54?
Just checking level of "Practical"...Congratulations regardless...exciting times.
Hi 74 TR,Hello!
now in the mid 70s and been into cars & trucks all my live, having done some stupid stuff, I’m now feeling the urge to do more…. Spitfires were all my time when the girls were young, then BMW 325/320 as Mgbs … lately tr6 s are inspiring…. I’ve looked at restoration cars but went into a really good driver.. now fixing small stuff is in! Rides with mybwifr on nice days are where it’s at..!
Allways fancied doing this to a Z3, all the mod cons including windows and hood but with classic style, full bolt off bolt on body kitA Z3 S52.
It was a preproduction car built in '97 and used as a press car for the US introduction of the M.
It was actually the first US M Roadster, VIN is .......001

Not gone, just using the time between tr 6 and the yard…new carpet is here, now,…. Dash and looking for time….Geo- sorry to see you leave the TR fold but I know you haven’t really left. Hopefully will get to meet you if I visit my other car pals in Tucson someday.
SoonWill the women be as old as we are?
I’m in! Just sold my 66 and it breaks my heart, but time marches on. Only 5 more TRs to go, 1 Bugeye and 1 MGB…getting olds one thing, getting off the shop floor is another!I've been thinking about opening an old folks home that has a huge shop with several British cars. It would be equipped with soft floors, lots and lots of light, young people with moveable joints to reach things and turn things and very large print manuals. And of course a beer tap.
Anyone want to come with me?
Rod
