They also stagger the spacing of the 5 bladed fan to help it run quieter.

From the picture on the Moss site, it looks like they stagger the 6 bladed fan as well.

I had a Texas Cooler-type fan from DW and I found that after a while the blades lost their "set" and were doing very little work. I replaced them with a steel flex fan which, though noisy, does a good job of moving more air through the radiator. I also have an auxiliary 12 VDC fan mounted in front of the rad (recored) and I use it when in traffic, etc. It will not prevent eventual overheating but slows down the process.
I have a set of drawings for sheet metal shrouding for the 100 which I am told greatly increase the system's efficiency and I hope to fabricate the pieces soon. I will report back with results when done.

Here's the latest update: I installed the fan shroud from British Car Specialists this weekend. It was easy to install and really doesn't alter the look of the engine compartment. Unfortunately, it doesn't seem to really help my problem much. To test it, I drove the car hard for 10 min or so in 95F temps, and then sat at idle for a few minutes. As long as I was moving, the temperature gauge stayed right at 190, even while pulling a steep hill. But as soon as I stopped moving for more than a few minutes, the temperature gauge started climbing. I let it reach 212 before I started driving again to bring the temperature back down.
The problem was much worse before I upgraded the radiator core and installed the Denis Welch fan, and I'm starting to think this might be as good as I'm going to get it without installing a electric fan. It's not a huge problem because I rarely drive in stop and go traffic (hey, I live in small town in mountains of Utah; there IS no traffic), and I guess I just won't drive in the parade next year.

Sometimes avoidance is the best solution to a problem.

The drawing does look a little strange, but the blades are not staggered on the metal 6-blade fan. I've run one for 10 years.
They're quite noisy but do the job and are very robust.
