Was the fan guard on the 100-4 originally painted red, or is it supposed to be black like the radiator?

The guard should be painted black. The fan blades, red.

I'm only going by the Concours guide lines & a few other Hundreds that I have seen.
"The fan itself was cast aluminum & painted red, as were the mounting bolts."
BTW, the cast aluminum fans are somewhat prone to losing a blade. Check it carefully.
