Fan color

Charlie, I looked in my stuff, but didn't see when. However, by the look of all the people reading the post a lot of other folks are interested too- Good luck

Hi Charlie, the closest I can pin the color change down to is, Yellow came into being along with the introduction of the six cylinder cars. The best description I can come up with for the red used on the four cylinder fans is it was blood red. This is based on observation not historical fact.-FWIW---Keoke /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/driving.gif

This is one of the many, many questions that is answered in the Concours Committee's "Originality Guidelines," a publication that is worth many, many times its cost to anyone who owns a Healey, whether or not they are restoring a car to "concours standards" (note that the publication is named "Originality Guidelines" and NOT "Concours Guidelines"). See: Concours Committee.
