I am 60 yrs old and have been in love with the Austin Healey 3000 since 1963 when my father (in the smartest mid-life crisis move I know) bought a 1962 BT7 with leopard upholstery (vinyl over the original red leather). The car has remained in the family and I have owner it for 35 years. In the early 80s a restoration was done and I did the mechanicals. During the restoration and unrelated (?), I became separated and then divorced, but working on the car kept my sanity and helped me get through the process. I have been happily remarried for 26 years and my wife and I enjoy driving the car on sunny days and weekends. I have limited space to work on the car but love working on it as much as driving it. I'm sure many of you have had the same experience of working on the brakes and then taking the car for a test drive and getting a speeding ticket or something like that. I collected AH parts and still have more parts than cars to work on. I look forward exchanging info and good times with you all. Cheers or LETS TAKE THE TOP DOWN!!!
