Is anyone else running that header? How hard is it to install with engine in car? Some of those nuts barely turn and rub up against the tubes.

I have them and you are right, some of the nuts are impossible to get on. I have the 2-piece setup and had no problem fitting them into the engine. What I did for those three stubborn nuts is I went to a nut and bolt specialty store and purchased some grade 8 all metal locking nuts that just happened to have tapered heads. I also use grade 8 thin flat washers underneath. The nuts went on with car but no problems.

Pulled them off to remove the starter to install new one. Glad I did as I found 1 of the bottom three was only finger tight. Do you use a stubby on the bottom ones?

Was able to get mine tight by using a combination of a socket, stubby wrench and a "custom" wrench that I bent at a strange angle go get that really tough one (I had to use a blow torch to do it!). All in all it worked pretty good, but it takes a while.

Good luck.

what about a crows foot socket. Do you think that will help to get that last bit tight?

Doubtful, I had to shave a little off the "custom" wrench I made just to fit. It's pretty darned tight for that one nut.

I have at least 6-8 custom-made "Triumph Tools" where I have had to modify or even custom make a tool for one purpose only. I save them all, knowing somehow down the road I will need them again. I just today bought a cheap deep socket and cut a 2.5 inch slice into it to be able to bend my throttle linkage bracket down for better movement on my throttle cable. Ain't it fun.

Try using a hex socket bolt or a smaller 12-point headed bolt like the ones from ARP.

The problem is ,is, those dumb doughnut things that also hold on the intake.

Is it safe to assume that the Falcon header performs well (i.e. no leaks, not to loud) after installation since no one commented negatively?

The other question would be how does it make the engine perform? I would suppose that like most headers you get less low-end torque and more horsepower on the top end. Has anyone done a real comparison with the stock manifold or other headers?
