SCORE !!!!
Just picked up Falcon SS dual exhaust from Guru Scott at Team Triumph !!!! As one may guess I am very excited.

Does anyone know how I may get my mitts on an installation diagram or some such?
I can surely figure it out, but any visual aide would be helpful. I welcome any and all input.

Hope everyone is well.

An Exhaust diagram?
Ha, goes under the car

Never seen one.Not that tough. Is it a factory style or a twin pipe?

It's a dual, has the silver tips at the end of the silencers, I's going to look so cool, I'm keeping my fingers crossed, hope it sounds as good as it looks. After i set it all up on my work bench, i re-packed it again for protection, or maybe just so I can re-open it!

What can I say, I'm a nerd.

Hope yours fits better than mine. My mid pipes don't come close to fitting the headers.
Made my project come to a screeching halt many years ago.

My system used the stock exhaust. Seemed to go on OK. No real fitment issues. I love the sound. DO NOT like drilling 2 holes in the body for the mounts. I made the brackets (using the bumper bracket bolt) that will require a bit more modification when I go to re-mount the body. I think they are a bit too high.

Thanks for the info, I can't wait to get started.
I do have a feeling that a challenge will be where the main pipe meets the header, that will be fun!

I had a mid pipe custom bent for access to the OD. I second that ground clearance can be a big issue.

You will want to include some type of flexible mount especially if you are going to run a header. Lack of flex can result in cracks in the system.

The mufflers are oval, giving some extra clearance. It does look like I'm going to have to have some bending done to assure alignment.
I have never heard them before, do you guys like the way they sound in comparison to stock, or from other aftermarket ones you have heard?

I guess I'll know soon enough, just curious.

They are quieter than the Monza systems, though are considerably louder than stock. They produce a good rich sound.

So Ansa stopped making mufflers for the older Triumphs? I only see a listing for TR6 (1972 on?) on their website now.

I really liked the sound along with the 4 chrome tips on my TR4A.

Scott, I am pretty sure the Ansa can be made to fit the 4A without too much effort, it is after all the same frame and suspension under there, the 4A used a setup similar to the Ansa shown as far as routing, at least some of them did.

Scott, think it is still made in Canada. Not inexpensively either

I can confirm this, as I have an Ansa on my 4A.

I've got a Falcon exhaust system on my 80 Spitfire. Tone is ok. Neither impressive nor embarassing. Volume is moderate, louder than stock, substantially quieter than Monza.

Ground clearance is fine. No worse than stock.

Ian,

This is the only listing Ansa lists in their online catalog. Is this what you have?

My original TR4A Ansa's were an exact replacement for the original 2 rear mufflers and I replaced the forward stock TR4A muffler with the reverse Y-pipe from the early TR6.

I still have a pair on the shelf that I bought 25+ years ago for the second TR4A future restoration.

I have a 71 TRIUMPH SPITFIRE MKIV. I was considering the monza exhaust. What do you think? This is all new to me.

I also have a set up like the one pictured got my as a complete kit a 4-2-1- stainless header and daul chrome tip exhaust never had any problems with it ; the sound is great and yes i did drill 2 holes in the body but covered it with primer and paint and still no rust ; got the Bell system enjoy.
