Fair trade?

I spent 4.5 hours today removing the wiring harness and bulkhead from a midget in exchange for a complete 1275 engine that turns and reportedly had even compression when removed several years ago.

I think it was a fair trade considering I enjoy dismantling cars. /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/smile.gif

I can't to tear it apart and take a peak. I will hopefully start a motor rebuild fall of 2008.

Nothing wrong with getting paid to have fun. I had to weld in new floors, rockers, and boot floor on an XKE to earn a 1275 thrown in on top of my pay as a bonus. Considering, I did not charge enough, it wasn't really a bonus. But I wanted the engine.

Fall 2008...
I have other LBC projects (like the AN5) that must be completed before rebuilding this engine.

I was afraid the engine was going to end up in the scrap heap if this guy got frustrated with his midget project.

I'll clean it and strip it and store it in plastic along side the 948 in my basement, that is beside the ribcase tranny, that is beside the smoothcase tranny, that is beside the old rostyles, that are beside...

...I wonder why my wife gives me dirty looks when she sees me carrying boxes down to the basement?

At least you have a basement.
