Facet fuel pump

Bought my chrome bumper '74 MGB a little over a year ago. It has a Facet electric fuel pump installed on the frame just forward of the fuel tank. My question is - how noisy should this pump be? It makes a noticeable clacking sound at any speed.
Is this normal, or a symptom of a failing pump? It looks new, but I believe it was installed in 2004.

Yes- a Facet runs all of the time and is noisy.
The best fix for this is to mount it on a rubber motor mount type isolator (and add a ground wire) then you won't hear it nearly as much.
It will still last a very long time (even if it is noisy) and is about the most reliable fuel pump available.

You reassured me that the noise is normal so I fabricated a quickie rubber mount to put between it and the frame. It is much quieter now. Will order two 444-080s when I put together my next parts order and do it right. Thanks for the advice.
