It's how I find out about my daughter at college and what she is doing interacting with her peers.
I'm sure Randy and Darrell also use it the same way

which is actually why I deleted my son from my facebook account - some things I don't need to know

I have Facebook and barely use it. I keep tabs w/ family, Jarhead buds, and friends from work. At most, I ~might~ log into it once per week.

I liken FB to the iPhone. There are plenty of other completely valid and possibly more functional ways to communicate, but "all the cool kids" have it so you must too.

Then you have the people that don't really pay attention to the apps that they're installing on their iPhone/Andriods. Honestly, broadcasting to FB where you currently are at all times is ~not~ a good idea... and yet, people do it anyway...

Exactly my sentiment. The less I knew, the better. They survived college, I think I taught them well enough. Then, I wouldn't have wanted them to know what I did back then.

My Facebook is the BCF Pub.

Oh, and, people are now speculating that kids these days will find it easier to change their names than erase their online presence (this when they are looking for jobs)
