Spotted a 1958-1960 ish Jeep FC170! I thought they all died!
This thing was in not to bad of shape had a snowblade on it and a wrecker crane on the back. Saw it north of mitchell SD on a county road headed south at a wild and wooly 40 MPH. The cab over with the plow ...just wierd looking. very cool old rig.
It looked way smaller than I remember them.

If in SD, it did die

Its kind of amazing that the thing even was running down the road when you thinkabout it. It was 17 below this morning snow blowing like crazy wind chill I have no Idea just @!#$ cold. the thing has a L head 4 banger and is turning a full time 4X4 Drive train with a crane and a plow. what a tuff little machine UGly but tuff. Driver had to be tuff too cause as I remember the heat in them was pretty poor.

There's one of those along Highway 20,just West of Ukiah,CA.

My grandfather had one when I was a child. Used it every day to feed the livestock.

Interesting use for parts, how long till the Jeep was all gone?

Many moons ago I put a 289 in one for a customer.
You have no idea how much fun the silly radiator hoese were to route!

I never understood how they decided to make something that looked like it would flip up on it's nose if it stopped too fast into a wheelstander! I always liked the look of those old Dodge and Ford flatnose trucks and vans. the Jeeps were neat too,
Then there was the Corvair van...... (So ugly I want one)

No, you don't. They put LBC's to shame with their early Exxon Valdez issues.
