There are 11 Formula 1 teams. Four teams use Renault engines. Four teams use Mercedes Benz engines. Three teams use Ferrari engines.
Next season (2015) a fourth manufacturer, Honda, returns to F1 supplying engines to McLaren.
I'm more in agreement with the view of one of the motor sports writers of the BBC, Andrew Benson: "When this writer was growing up, and falling in love with F1, it was some years before I even saw an F1 car live. I was captivated by the essence of the sport - the unbelievable skill and bravery of the drivers, the beauty and magnificence of the cars, the thrill of the racing." For me it was reading Rob Walker's, Eoin Young's and other writer's F1 reports in Road&Track, Competition Press (Autoweek), and Sports Car Graphic.
Still a fan, I'll be in the stands this June for the Canadian Grand Prix (my 29th ticket since my first in '65).
